Here at URBAN AINT DEAD, one of our authors will be spotlighted on our blog every week. This will allow our readers to get to know some of your favorite authors more personally and even get an inside scope about the making of some of your favorite URBAN AINT DEAD titles.
This week, we asked Ashley Williams one question:
"If you could name three books that influenced your writing style the most, what would they be and why?"
And this is what she had to say:
"If I could name three books that influenced my writing style the most I couldn’t because books didn’t influence my writing style. I've read plenty of books: Nikki Turner, Jaquavis and Ashley, EL Griffin, and the list goes on. But none of the books that I’ve read influenced my writing. My life’s past events are what played a big part in my writing skills and what’s built up inside of me did. I have some things to get off my chest and writing about it is how I tend to release. I come from a good home, a good environment, and was raised the right way. God fearing and yet I still had a set-back and I learned from it. As I laid in my situation, I had plenty of time to think, and what I came up with was that my life could make a huge impact on someone else’s life. My books are fiction, but I can relate to them all."
Look out for her debut release with URBAN AINT DEAD, A Setup For Revenge, COMING SOON!
